THE SENIOR CITIZENS ASSOCIATION OF SANTA PONÇA CELEBRATES ITS 25TH ANNIVERSARY
The Senior Citizens Association of Santa Ponça celebrated, on 23rd March, its 25th anniversary with a lunch at a restaurant in Algaida, which was attended by many people who did not want to miss the celebration.
The Santa Ponça association, with 367 members today, is a very active club with quite a few regular activities: gymnastics, yoga, cognitive stimulation, aquagym, computer science, sevillanas, dance and tai chi, and every Friday they make a ''healthy'' walk. In addition, they participate in some festivities and organise many trips.
The mayor, Alfonso Rodríguez Badal, and the deputy mayor for Social Cohesion and Equality and Santa Ponça councillor, Nati Francés, presented a commemorative plaque to the president of the association, Hipólito Herreros.
