THE GRANTS CALL FOR INDIVIDUAL SPORTSPEOPLE OF CALVIÀ OPENS WITH A TOTAL ECONOMIC ENDOWMENT OF 45,000 EUROS

Calvià Town Hall announces the granting of subsidies to individual athletes of the municipality. The application deadline is now open, and applications can be submitted until 2nd December. To see the terms and conditions, click here
The purpose of this call is to promote and facilitate access to sport and its collective or individual practice, while recognising the work of local people who opt for sports and contribute in part to the effort of athletes and their families.
This year's novelty is that subsidies have two help lines, one for athletes under 18 years of age with a future projection certified by the corresponding sports federation, and another for over 18 year-old athletes with proven results. The total economic endowment of the subsidies is 45,000€, while the maximum amount per athlete is 3,000€.
The valuation of the different applications is made in accordance with the terms and conditions that regulate this call, in which the scoring criteria are published, so that all athletes requesting a subsidy opt in the same conditions. Participation in official championships regulated by the corresponding sports federations, participation in teams and classification in official international, national and regional championships is valued.
In last year's call, a total of 74 beneficiaries of the municipality received financial aid based on their sporting merits. With this call, Calvià continues working on sport as an educational, recreational and healthy instrument, as well as a transmitter of values such as effort, dedication and improvement, all without neglecting something as vital as respect and companionship between people.
