ACT OF CONDEMNATION FOR THE GENDER-BASED MURDER OCCURRED IN PEGUERA
Calvià Town Hall has organised an act of rejection for the gender murder of Ismail Emin, which occurred on 15th October in Peguera.
The event began with a few words from the mayor, Alfonso Rodríguez Badal, to condemn this and all crimes against women and denounce gender-based violence. Then, the president of the Consell de Mallorca, Catalina Cladera; the island councilwoman for the Presidency, Teresa Suárez; the insular director of Equality, Rosa Cursach, and the Town Hall's deputy mayor for Equality, Nati Francés, read fragments of texts and gave way to all the people willing to read. The event was also attended by the vice president of the Consell, Aurora Ribot, the municipal government team, part of the municipal Corporation and staff of the Town Hall.
