Calvià's Municipal Archive expands services and renews the furniture
Calvià's Municipal Archive expands the documentation access services with the electronic consultation of the documentation that is digitised. In the first semester of 2021, more than 600 requests were attended, both in person and online. This service can be requested by email or by prior appointment (https://citaprevia.encolate.es/calvia/reservation), if a face-to-face consultation has to be made.
The documentation digitisation project, started in 2013, will allow to reach 11.300 digitised major works files this year. A project that is financed in part by the Consell de Mallorca, by a line of subsidies called by the insular institution, for the organisation of municipal archives. In addition, in the coming months a geographic viewer will be available on the municipal website that will allow citizens and professionals to know the urban planning licenses granted.
Finally, Calvià's Municipal Archive has expanded and improved its equipment with the acquisition of computer equipment, a screen to view the digitised documentation, furniture to deposit plans and machinery to guarantee the deposit's environmental conservation. These improvements have also been partially financed by the Consell de Mallorca within the line of subsidies from the municipal investment fund for cultural facilities.
