Eighty-two young people from Calvià have completed their training through the Projecta't and BECAlvià scholarships called by the Town Hall and in which 237.690 euros have been invested this year, 12% more than in the previous edition. In the diplomas delivery ceremony, the mayor of Calvià, Alfonso Rodríguez Badal, highlighted the importance of these scholarships because it allows opening more windows both in terms of personal growth and to verify that what is being studied is what is really desired. The mayor, who encouraged them to continue training, assured Calvià Town Hall's commitment to continue creating opportunities for the talents in the municipality to have a decent job opportunity, because, he concluded: “the better trained a society is, the freer society is». On her behalf, the deputy mayor for Education and Employment, Olga Granados, thanked the companies and municipal departments that have collaborated in these scholarships, as well as the young people for the effort and responsibility they have assumed.
