Agreement to finance entrepreneurial initiatives

Tuesday 25th January 2022

CALVIÀ TOWN HALL AND THE 'NETIN CLUB' INVESTORS CLUB SIGN AN AGREEMENT TO FACILITATE INVESTMENT IN PROJECTS AND COMPANIES OF THE MUNICIPALITY

The purpose of the agreement is to boost Calvià's economy by putting local projects in touch with investors

Calvià Town Hall, through the Calvià Training and Employment Institute (IFOC), and the Netin Club investors club have signed an agreement whereby entrepreneurs and companies in the municipality will be able to access financing through the economic contribution of investors in exchange for a share in the capital.

The Netin Club investor club has more than fifteen investment clubs distributed in different regions of Spain and directs its efforts to invest in both, projects based on the traditional and local economy, as well as on digital and new technology projects.

The collaboration between IFOC and Netin Club will allow local entrepreneurs to receive financing through the meetings organised by Netin, in which entrepreneurs present business projects to potential investors.

The agreement that has been signed with the Netin Club private investor clubs network is added to those signed with the entities Treball Solidari, Microbank and ISBA and that allow access to different financing lines.

With this new agreement, a new project is incorporated through public-private collaboration, allowing private entities to contribute knowledge that complements and improves the IFOC's existing services.

Today, the mayor of Calvià, Alfonso Rodríguez Badal, and the president and vice-president of the IFOC, Olga Granados and Marga Plomer, respectively, have met with the directors of Netin in the Balearic Islands, Joan Coll Vadell and Ricardo Blanco.
