Mostra Cuina Mallorca Serra Sur Route presentation
The Mostra de Cuina de Mallorca Serra Sur Route was presented this morning at Calvià Town Hall by the president of the Consell de Mallorca, Catalina Cladera; the mayor of Calvià, Alfonso Rodríguez Badal; the councillor of Andratx, Antoni Bordoy, and the president of CAEB Restauración, Alfonso Robledo.
The mayor of Calvià thanked the organisation of this event to take place from 26th to 29th May in several restaurants in Calvià, Andratx, Estellencs and Banyalbufar, and also thanked the incorporation of the restaurants of the municipality joining the initiative. Alfonso Rodríguez Badal pointed out that "our destinations not isolated resorts but urban destinations full of life and activity and that is why it is so important that we seek quality and that we make our quality product known".
The Mostra de Cuina de Mallorca is a Restauración Mallorca CAEB project, with the support of Fundació Mallorca Turisme, which consists of eight gastronomic routes through various areas of the island of Mallorca, to promote the catering sector and the consumption of local products. In addition, this route is sponsored by Calvià Town Hall and has the collaboration of the town halls of Andratx, Estellencs and Banyalbufar.
Musical performances
On Saturday 28th May, in Plaza Torà (Peguera), the public will be able to enjoy the following free of charge performances:
From 7 to 7.40 p.m. drums travelling performance "Valquiria".
From 7.30 to 8.30 p.m., performance by the group "Carretera 80".
