Rei En Jaume festivities 2022 election of kings
The Christian and Saracen 'Colles' of Calvià are already preparing for the Rei En Jaume 2022 festivities, which this year will resume all activities, filling the streets of Santa Ponça with people and colour, to commemorate the arrival of the King Jaume I troops to Mallorca.
Last Friday afternoon, with the presence of the Colles, those who will be the kings of the festivities were chosen: Alberto Mota Leiva, as King Abú Yahyà, and Jabo Martínez Rodríguez, as King Jaume I, after passing some fun tests.
The evening ended with an outdoor dinner, at El Molino fairgrounds in Santa Ponça, for all the 'Colles' participating in the parades and battles of the Rei En Jaume festivities.
