Visit to the renewed car park on Olivera St. in Peguera, as part of the improvements that the Town Hall is carrying out in this infrastructure
The car park on Olivera St. in Peguera has been visited this morning after the reorganisation of this space, thus responding to a request from residents, since it caused inconvenience due to the estate it was in.
The visit was attended by the mayor, Alfonso Rodríguez Badal; the deputy mayor for Infrastructures, Juan Recasens, the councillor for Peguera, Olga Granados, and the councillor for Maintenance and Roads and Works, Alfonso Molina, who explained the improvement to both, the president of the Peguera Neighbourhood Association, Juana María Mas Coll, and the president of the Peguera and Cala Fornells Hotel Association, Antoni Mayol.
The car park has 33 spaces for vehicles, as well as 2 for people with reduced mobility, 2 for electric vehicles and a parking area for motorcycles.
The renewal, put out on tender for 217.533 euros, has been carried out taking into account functionality, sustainability, accessibility and energy efficiency criteria. Thus, the circulation area has been covered with an asphalt concrete layer, while the parking area has been provided with a green pavement. Between the parking spaces, flower beds have been placed that allow the collection of water. In addition, the rainwater network has been improved both in the car park and in the adjacent pedestrian alley, improving drainage in the area. Improvements have also been made regarding trees and lighting.
Calvià Town Hall has carried out other improvements of these characteristics in a car park in Costa de la Calma and Son Ferrer.
